On the weekend, I competed in the 4^th and 5^th round of the Australian Superbike series, which was my final round for the season, held at QLD Raceway. I was hoping to maintain my position in the championship of 6^th or even better I was hoping to move up to 5^th place for the series.

It was a crazy 2 weeks leading up to the race meeting repairing my bike due to a crash at the Victorian Title round at Winton Raceway.

On the weekend I raced in the 3^rd round of the Victorian Road Race Championship held at Winton Raceway.

I had set myself some goals for the weekend which were to reach the 1:28min Bracket and also maintain my positions in the 2 classes I was racing in, which was 1^st in superstock 600 and 3^rd in supersport.

Saturday morning came around, I had a qualifying session for supersport and a qualifying session for superstock.  I qualified 3^rd for supersport and also 3^rd in the superstock class.

I was reasonably happy with these results for the 2 sessions, which gave me a good feeling for the races on the weekend.

The weekend of the 4^th-6^th may was the 3^rdround of the ASBK series at Queensland Raceway. I was hoping to place top 10 for the weekend as it is not one of my favourable tracks to compete at.

Thursday was an open practice day where I had 3x 20 minutes sessions, but there was no official timing for the day. I used the day to re-familiarise myself with the track and to play around with suspension. I found the day to be productive even without knowing my times against everyone else’s.

Friday was the first official day of the meeting with 3x 20 minute practice sessions, I tried a few different suspension set –ups and tried the new generation tyres we received for this meeting (and the rest of season). I had a great day and ended up 5^th overall for the day after the practice sessions, which gave me a good boost to my confidence.  I knew that a few locals would be ready to fire for qualifying on Saturday though.
